Leadership Can Be Birthed in the Midst of Chaos

This is a collaboration effort. Yes my spouse and  I are sharing this platform as we share the Word of the Lord. We renewed our commitment to pray with one another each day about two and half years ago. During this time, God has spoken some amazing things.   Recently, we were praying about some things that seemed chaotic in our personal lives, things surrounding employment, chaos in the lives of family members and friends, and around the world. This particular morning a peace just washed over us . My husband, Mack, spoke something I thought was fitting. He spoke with authority as he was speaking by the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Love Outshines Duty

With my hand on one hip, I recall waiting to set the record straight with my spouse. A few years ago, I remember making this huge feast for my family. I stayed up throughout the night making sure everything was absolutely perfect. The meats were tender and cooked to perfection. The vegetables that were steamed were just the right tenderness, the other vegetables had the right balance of seasoning and spices. My husband spoke and said, I feel the love in this. You put the love in this meal baby. A beautiful compliment yet I translated his statement to: You do not put love into your daily cooking for our family. I remember waiting to set the record straight.  What exactly does that mean? Perceiving I had somehow gotten offended. Clothed with Strength and Dignitiy

The current job position that I have has me on a 9/80 schedule. Simply put, I usually have every other Friday off. This particular Friday, due to us having to leave out of town for our youngest (Joshua) son’s lacrosse games, produced a list of action items and goals I desired to accomplish. In fact, the games would span in two different states with a good distance apart (New Orleans, La. that Friday night and Jackson, Ms. for Saturday and Sunday games. I had action items to achieve to ease our family of having to rush that evening. This included efforts to take some of the stressors off my spouse who was to drive the long distances after extended hours of work and to create a smooth transition by having, at minimum, 99% of things done. The timeline was tight and I had planned not to waiver or leave wiggle room for anything…
