This morning my husband and I (Mack and I) were looking at TV – National Geographic
The feature was on Mud Slugs 🐌
The Mud slugs 🐌 were plenteous and mating was not for the weak at heart ❤️
Albeit the Mud slugs 🐌 understood the proper calling, purpose, and natural order of things there were many who couldn’t penetrate a particular territory that was dominated by other male Mud slugs 🐌 that wouldn’t allow them to progress to make their mark – place their seed – live out their purpose and follow the natural order.
Albeit opposition is natural too, many were bewildered 😳, some risks their lives (which can be looked upon as honorable- they had rather risk it all than to do nothing) because they were so focused on this particular area full of females
They showed this ONE male Mud Slug 🐌 that shuffled his way from the area.
The commentator suggested that this male slug 🐌 just happened to “stumble upon” a land full of female Mud slugs 🐌 that had no males occupying or defending that particular territory.
This ONE male Mud slug 🐌 separated himself from the noise, didn’t follow the steps of the crowd.
It was if he was saying to himself, I’ve waited all my life for this moment here. I’ve waited and became mature for mating season. I’ve waited to sow my seed for such a time as now and I refuse to be held back.
He had come into an abundant place because something within him alerted him that my enemy (nor friend or familiarity- which can be an enemy) doesn’t dictate my outcome and if I’m purposed and designed for something surely there are provisions made for me.
Maybe a shift in perspective, maybe a need to NOT see things entirely from the perspective of what others say they are lead to do, perhaps affirming the certain journey to travel to live the abundant life YOU ARE designed and purposes to carry out. Although there were those that were successful in the other land – know the platform, territory, space, and place God has for you!
Philippians 3:13-14. “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. NIV
13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[d] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. NLT
